Individual and couples therapy
Who I see
I work with adults and couples asking questions about who they are and what they want, navigating relationship distress, and midlife transition. Many of my clients are women working in creative or caretaking fields, many are queer, trans, or identify as an outsider in some way.
In person in Mid-City Los Angeles. Online across California and Connecticut.
Frequent Collaborators
If one or more of these resonate, reach out. If they don't resonate, but you're still curious if we might be a fit, that's okay too.
Perfectionists, recovering good girls and gold-star earners
You may be very capable, reliable, and easy to be with, but have a hard time knowing what you actually want. We can explore your uncertainties, where your energy goes and what pressures you’re up against; what values are being centered, and what’s getting crowded out. People-pleasing and perfectionism can be very useful but come at a cost. What have they made possible? What price have you paid? What would you like room for in your life instead?
Writers, actors and creative people
The waiting, the rejections, the career that doesn’t follow a straight line - and the highs and lows that arrive with success….We can talk about creative blocks, money, identity, and what happens when the work you love is the thing that can make life uncertain and maddening.
Lesbian, queer and nonbinary couples
There’s not one right way to be in a relationship. Together, we can support a deeper intimacy that doesn’t follow a template, but honors your values along with the complexity of identity, desire, and connection. Monogamous, open and polyamorous partnerships are welcome.
Couples navigating a gender transition
When one partner comes out as trans, a lot might happen at once: feelings of joy, grief, confusion, relief, along with a sense of betrayal, guilt, questions about intimacy, and newly discovered ideas about how each of you understands yourself and the relationship. We can hold space for multiple realities, and explore what each of you needs as this new chapter unfolds. Change can lead to endings and at the same time to creative and heartfelt expansions one never imagined possible.
Anxiety, social anxiety, depression, self-doubt, grief, and questions about identity can be part of any of these conversations. You don't have to fit one of these descriptions to get in touch.
